The Swiss Association of Cantonal Property Valuation Experts (SVKG) is an association of individuals who are involved in property valuation within the administration at the federal or cantonal level. The assembly of association members is the highest governing body. It elects the board of directors and is convened by the board in accordance with the association’s statutes. Decisions are made by a majority of the votes of the present members. Voting rights are limited to two votes per canton and the federal level. The further powers of the association assembly are defined in the association statutes.
The board of directors has the obligation to manage the affairs of the association and represent the association externally.

Purpose

The Swiss Association of Cantonal Property Valuation Experts is an association aimed at developing principles and methods for the valuation of properties and making these findings available to the offices at the federal and cantonal levels that deal with property valuation, as well as to other interested parties.

The principles and methods for property valuation are published in a valuation handbook in both German and French.

Our valuation experts are qualified professionals with extensive experience in all areas of property valuation. The cantonal valuation experts rely on comprehensive data, some of which is subject to data protection regulations, such as purchase prices, rental rates, and more. This ensures that the valuations accurately reflect the current market conditions.
